A back to back opening for Horizon Café

Horizon Café hosted an intimate launching event among social media influencers and media partners for its newest branch located in Jinjiang Inn – Makati. 

“We are happy to be opening Horizon Café last December 15, 2021, in Jinjiang Inn – Makati, as businesses and tourism establishments, are bouncing back from the pandemic, not only in Iloilo and Boracay, where we really see the influx of tourists but also here in Metro Manila,” Hotel 101 Group General Manager Gel Gomez said in her welcoming remarks.

Horizon Café’s Sales and Marketing Manager Sydneylyn Tan gave the crowd a walkthrough of what Horizon Café as the brand is all about, “Horizon Café traces its origin in Iloilo City, championing Iloilo’s pride dishes like Cansi and Batchoy. The flagship branch located on the topmost floor of Injap Tower Hotel is the core inspiration of the name of our restaurant. The scenic view of the City of Love, and its majestic skyline truly echoes an earth-sky horizon.”

“As we bring Horizon Café in Metro Manila, and nowhere in Jinjiang Inn – Makati, we kept an open mind to localize and embrace the hotel’s brand identity by offering Asian dishes alongside with our signature Filipino food,” said Ms. Tan.

Ms. Tan also highlighted the Binondo-inspired artwork proudly displayed at the restaurant’s function rooms, “Binondo, the Oldest Chinatown in the World, is the melting pot of two great cultures – Filipino and Chinese, which is our inspiration for our menu and restaurant design.”

Guests of the event were treated with a festive spread that celebrated Filipino and Chinese specials. A live cooking demo was held to allow guests to have a preview of how one of Horizon’s Best – Beef Cansi, is prepared.

All-Pinoy trivia games and the popular Pinoy Henyo were held for entertainment which guests favorably enjoyed. The event was capped off with Ms. Gomez generous raffle draw where winners get complimentary staycations in any of Hotel 101 Group hotels.

Horizon Café branches are located in Hotel 101 – Manila, Jinjiang Inn – Ortigas, Jinjiang Inn – Makati, Recently, last December 5, a new Horizon reopened at the 21^st floor of Injap Tower Hotel – Iloilo which were attended also by several local-based media partners.
