Bringing Ethical, Sustainable Poultry to Filipino Tables
EU-backed “From Our Farms to Your Table” launches with focus on responsible production

For Filipino families who value great taste, guaranteed safety, and care for the environment, European poultry is now more accessible than ever thanks to the launch of “European Poultry – From Our Farms to Your Table”.

The three-year, EU co-funded campaign — introduced in Manila on August 7 in partnership with the Embassy of Poland — aims to educate both consumers and the food industry about the values behind EU poultry production: sustainable farming, humane animal treatment, and strict food safety controls.

Mr. Dariusz Goszczyński, President of the National Poultry Council – Chamber of Commerce, said the EU enforces the strictest animal welfare laws in the world.
“Our farmers ensure proper living conditions, humane handling, and ethical practices at every stage,” he explained. “We believe this makes our poultry the better choice for health-conscious and socially responsible consumers.”

Ms. Kamila Cicherska-Borońska, quality certification expert, pointed to systems like HACCP, GMP/GHP, ISO 22000, and Halal certification as guarantees of product integrity.
“These certifications prove that our poultry is not only safe to eat but produced with care for people, animals, and the planet,” she said.

The campaign also promotes full traceability, ensuring that every product can be tracked from farm to fork. This transparency builds trust and allows for swift action if food safety concerns arise.
Featured at WOFEX Manila 2025 from August 6–9, the campaign offers visitors insights into how EU poultry production combines quality with responsibility.
With only 11% of poultry imports to the Philippines currently from Poland, the EU sees an opportunity to grow by offering a premium alternative to existing imports from Brazil and the United States.
