The Sweetest Spring Treats at Kitsho
Of all the seasons, spring is the one that brings the most promise, not only in one’s plans, aspirations and resolutions but also in weather patterns and vegetation. In Japan, the entire landscape is bathed in a profusion of blooming cherry blossom trees of varying colors. The sweetness of the blooming Sakura is captured in Kitsho’s dessert offerings. After a sumptuous repast in delectable choices of sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki, sukiyaki, tempura, yakimono, hot pots, bento boxes, and/or meal sets, including the buffet spreads, diners would usually need a ‘sweet ending’ to their meals.
With this in mind, executive Chef Mizumoto ‘Hiro’ Masahiro has whipped a bevy of mouthwatering desserts to choose from. “All of the dessert options are in the new and expanded menu. These concoctions are important to our women guests. And there is much to choose from now, unlike before when there weren’t that many.
“After lunch or dinner, Kitsho’s delectable desserts will satiate any craving for sweet endings. And since our ice cream flavors are homemade, we would soon be rolling out our cup- and pint-sized servings to other restaurants,” shared the chief toque. It is only in Kitsho where you get to sample and savor the very rare ice cream flavors of Matcha, green tea, black sesame, and their own soft-serve blend.
“Other delectable concoctions in the dessert lineup include cheese cakes and cream puffs. During our Saturday and Sunday buffets, diners can enjoy bottomless draft root beer and fresh fruit shakes when they add P300 to the buffet price of P988++, and can enjoy all the iced tea and ice cream they want when they go for the ‘All Drink, All Eat’ meal package of P1,400++, aside from tasting all the authentic Japanese fare Kitsho has to offer,” invited Chef Hiro. Japanese cuisine is one of the tastiest and healthiest cuisines the world over. The perfectly plated dishes are always in the right servings and the side dishes always complement the main courses.
Experience the visual sweetness and daintiness of the spring Sakura when you taste any of Kitsho’s delectable dessert offerings. And just as the nippy breeze kiss each delicate petal of the pretty blossom trees, you too can waft through every dessert option as you select and share as many of the choices as you can with family, friends, or colleagues.
The Kitsho authentic Japanese restaurant is conveniently located at the ground level of Hotel Jen Manila , along sunset strip Roxas Boulevard (across the Cultural Center of the Philippines) in the historic bay area.
