East Avenue Medical Center— Fuelled by the passion to help women who are suffering from breast cancer, Lynelle House of Hair Fashion celebrated its 10th year anniversary with the women of the Kasuso Foundation of the Philippines. It was a day packed with fun, hope, and inspiration as Lynelle donated 100pieces of wigs to women of Kasuso who are battling Breast Cancer. This year’s anniversary had the theme “Lynelle Thankful at 10” and featured celebrities and public figures like Rita Avila, Manilyn Reynes, Mosang, Abby Asistio, Christine Bersola-Babao, Glenda Garcia, Janice Jurado and Eljei Corpuz.
The event was hosted by celebrity actress, Ms. Tart Carlos, who quickly went into full speed as witty punch lines and non-stop laughter filled the room.
The programme proper was opened by Ms. Rita Avila as recounts the lessons that she learned in her process of coping and how God is present in our lives in each challenge that we are tasked to face. She encouraged the audience to keep the faith and push forward amidst the trials.
After the talk, Lynelle wigs were given and audience members were asked to go up on stage to receive their wigs. It was a happy occasion as members were all smiles as they receive the gift of hair. Following the annual wig-giving ceremony, a donation worth Php50,000 was given by Lynelle House of Hair Fashion to The Philippine Foundation for Breast Care Inc., this is given in line with supporting the vision of spreading awareness in breast cancer prevention, as well as aiding women assisted by the foundation in their fight against breast cancer.
Ms. Manilyn Reynes serenaded the audience with her heartwarming rendition of ‘Wind Beneath My Wings’ subsequently followed by her short message of encouragement, hope, gratefulness, and God-sent roles found in the friendships that we build in our lives.
Abby Asistio, narrated her own personal struggle and triumph over her hair condition with Alopecia- a cause which Lynelle Hair also supports. Ms. Asistio boldly exposed her true feelings as she recounted her experience as a child growing up with Alopecia.
‘Nung four years old po ako, nalagas ‘yung buhok ko, tapos pati kilay, pilik-mata…nawala.
She ended her talk with an original composition called ‘Beautiful’ which shares the message of how struggles make us stronger as people.
Games and raffle prices were given out to boost the morale of the women in Kasuso. One of the most heart-warming moments during the event would be when Ms. Lovely Joy Corpuz, contender of Tawag Ng Tanghalan who is also suffering from Breast Cancer brought the house down with her rendition of the 1980’s hit, ‘Fame’. The women of the Kasuso Foundation couldn’t help but be taken away by the lively energy that the song brought to the room. They danced and bursted in laughter altogether. Encouraging each other through each whimsical movement that they will not surrender in this journey.
The event was concluded through the loving message of hope from Lynelle Founder and owner, Ms. Jeniffer Sevilla – Go, “Alam niyo po kayo ang dahilan kung bakit may Lynelle.
