29 Years of Shared Joy: Conti’s Honors Its People and Unveils New Handcrafted Cake Creations

If home is where the heart is, then the kitchen at Conti’s Bakeshop & Restaurant has been beating strong for nearly three decades. What started 29 years ago inside a cozy Parañaque garage kitchen—where sisters Cecille Conti-Marañon, Carole Conti-Sumulong, and Angela “Angie” Conti-Martinez treated their team as extended family—has evolved into a nationwide tradition of warmth.
“The most rewarding for me is when the customers get out of the stores happy and delighted,” Carol said. She specifically recalls the moment it dawned on her that the business that was borne out of their shared love for good food and entertaining guests at home had been warmly embraced by customers from all over.
“I think it was Christmas time, we had goosebumps. The traffic in a private subdivision, the fact that people are really coming back to order, it feels so good to make other people happy with the food that we serve.”
To celebrate 29 sweet years of people-first culture, Conti’s honors the long-serving staff behind its success with two new handcrafted creations made with that same family care: the Mocha Latte Cake and Frozen Brazo.
A Family Unit Built on Care and Support
From day one, the Conti sisters approached their roles not as rigid bosses, but as a family unit designed to support one another and their growing team. Carole brought culinary expertise and baking precision to lead kitchen production, Cecille managed orders and finances with meticulous care, and Angie led sales and human resources with a deeply empathetic, people-first approach.
Rather than managing staff through strict corporate protocols, Angie and her sisters nurtured a workplace environment rooted in respect, warmth, and genuine care. This human-centric culture created an environment where employees felt like true extended family. That deep internal care quickly became Conti’s secret ingredient: when staff members feel genuinely valued and supported, every dish served and every cake handcrafted carries that same home-style warmth directly to the customer’s table.
For the sisters, seeing their team grow alongside the brand remains their proudest achievement. As Cecille recalls of their long-serving staff: “Some of our employees have been with us from way back when we opened at home. We really trained them. Cooking is labor-intensive, but you know it’s just so fulfilling to see your employees uplift their life.”
It is a sentiment felt deeply across the entire family, with Angie sharing that their team is “indeed God-sent” and Carole expressing her gratitude, noting “their humility and hard work made Conti’s what it is today.“
The ultimate proof of this people-first culture took center stage recently at Conti’s Westgate, where the founders shared a tearful, joyous reunion with their longest-serving team members. Locating the heart of the brand’s 29th anniversary, the gathering brought together the very staff who helped pack orders in the original garage kitchen nearly three decades ago—and are still standing at the helm of the business today.
After decades of shared triumphs, the Westgate reunion made one truth undeniable: at Conti’s, employees aren’t just staff; they are family.

Handcrafted with Heart: The 29th Anniversary Cake Creations
That exact same culture of love, patience, and team craftsmanship is what breathes life into Conti’s newest anniversary creations. Because happy, long-serving bakers put extra heart into their craft, Conti’s is celebrating 29 sweet years with two brand-new handcrafted cakes made to bring families together:

The Mocha Latte Cake: Born from the team’s passion for creating comforting flavor profiles, this cake features two light chiffon layers infused with rich mocha cream and a bold coffee aroma. Carefully balanced by Conti’s master bakers, it offers a smooth, decadent finish perfect for family coffee catch-ups (₱995, regular 10-slice size).
The Frozen Brazo: Reflecting the kitchen team’s dedication to intricate, multi-layered desserts, this mini 6-slice adaptation of the classic Brazo showcases delicate craftsmanship. Every layer is thoughtfully built by hand—starting with a buttery crust, mixed fruit filling, creamy custard, pavlova, and soft marshmallowy meringue, topped with sweet cream and fresh mango slices (₱945).
From a modest home kitchen to 29 years of shared memories across a growing network of over 100 branches nationwide, Conti’s remains dedicated to serving food—and baking cakes—that feel just like home.
