A Star-studded celebration: Gideon Hermosa celebrates 15 years of trust and gratitude
One-of-a-kind Gideonized Masterclass culminated with a gala night decorated in beauty and shared knowledge
Renowned event designer Gideon Hermosa recently marked his 15th anniversary in the industry by hosting his very own Gideonized Masterclass. The first-of-its-kind event featured a three-day intensive module where 100 creatives from across the Philippines gathered to be inspired by Hermosa’s creativity and climb to success, as well as how his company, the House of Hermosa (HOH), brings meaningful personal milestones to life.
Hermosa himself cherishes the journey that brought him to where he stands today – humble beginnings and hard work that inspired him to persevere and perfect his craft. Eager to help others do the same, it’s become a passion for him to support his peers grow into well-rounded individuals – something many from his own company, HoH, can attest to. As a “thank you” to his past and those who helped bring him there, the masterclass commemorated a decade and a half of togetherness, chaos, and the beauty that blossoms from it.
“Filipinos are very talented. My goal from the very beginning is to elevate the industry. That’s why we’re trying to bring trends worldwide here in the Philippines, and then eventually create trends that will go global. That’s the goal,” Hermosa shared.
Over the course of three days, Hermosa alongside esteemed figures from the event industry bestowed experience and insights that go beyond textbook knowledge – the conceptualization of visions, the moments leading up to the event’s final fold, and all the chaos that goes on in between. By the end of the sessions, the assembly channeled their learnings into action, dressing Marriott’s Grand Ball Rooms into a venue fit for an elegant night of celebration.
Ending with a bang, a graduation ceremony concluded the masterclass, making way for the gala night to commemorate the discovery of talent, the realization of potential, and the passing of knowledge.
Hermosa welcomed the graduates to look back at their work and witness the grandeur for themselves – the glamorously adorned ballroom enjoyed by 553 guests, including friends of the company, supplier partners from across 20 countries, and long-time clients like Yeng Constantino, Janeena Chan, Chris Quimbo & Alodia Gosiengfiao, who are just some of those who have supported the House of Hermosa. Brimming with talent, the event was also treated an exotic performance by the Geraldine Uy Dancers and a full evening of live music by Cardinia, the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra and the UST Choir. The graduates met and networked with some of the industry’s greatest names, sponsors and collaborators – all with the goal of making lasting connections similar to that of Hermosa’s.
The celebration was an exquisite evening that brought attendees back to Hermosa’s own journey of becoming a visionary in the industry, how HoH came about, as well as the heartwarming stories of professional and personal triumphs of the House of Hermosa.
Attendees were also treated to an incredible performance by Morrisette Amon while recognizing the 2025 Gideonized Masterclass participants. Bringing the night to a close, the audience got to enjoy surprise drag performances by Brigiding, Zymba Ding, Bomba Ding, and Hermosa took to the stage for some words of appreciation for the lasting support he and HoH have received from partners and loyal clients.
