HSMA Officers 2017 – 2018

The Hotel Sales and Marketing Association (HSMA) gears up for one of the most prestigious award giving body – The VIRTUS Awards Year 3, a platform designed to acknowledge the excellence and dedication of the country’s hotel sales and marketing professionals through their journey.

“For why we hold The Virtus Awards is an understatement. Recognizing the efforts and commitment of the core of the hotel – its sales and marketing professionals. They are the drivers and revenue generators, and the crème de la crème of the industry is what this occasion is all about” says Christine Urbanozo-Ibarreta, HSMA’s current President. The first ever VIRTUS Awards, launched in 2015 during the time of now HSMA Chairwoman Margie Munsayac, turned out to be one of the biggest and well respected competition. The Virtus Awards Chair Rose Libongco ensured that only the best will emerge as winners of these four (4) competition categories; Outstanding Sales and Marketing Associate, Outstanding Sales and Marketing Manager, Outstanding Sales and Marketing Leader, and the Marketing Campaign of the Year.

Virtus Awards will continue on to bring recognition to passionate, persevering, driven and determined professionals. Expect innovation as HSMA embarks on new and relevant partnerships, alliances and projects with industry playesr and stakeholders. HSMA Philippines recently became recognized as a member of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International -Asia Pacific Region through the representation of Ms. Ibarreta, their President

The third set of victors will be announced on 23 October 2017 at Mayuree Ballroom, Dusit Thani Manila. On the night of the 23rd, while some may come out as winners, the rest goes home proud to be nominated by their respective hotels and resorts and with something learned and treasured.

The Hotel Sales and Marketing Association (HSMA) is the premier organization of sales and marketing leader in the Philippine travel and tourism industry, representing the hotel and resort segment. Organized in 1979, it has now grown members with over 90 hotel and resort properties around the Philippines.
