Christmas in different forms

This year, Toblerone’s chosen artist collaborators were inspired by different forms of Christmas experiences. Illustrator Juan Camilo Rodriguez, who is known for bold, colorful, and out-of-the-ordinary characters, draws inspirations from his holiday childhood memories. “The holiday season has filled my spirit with happiness and positive vibes and I wanted to represent those feelings creating a set of characters with personality and vibrant colors,” Rodriguez shared.

Known for her fashionable yet minimalist illustrations, Soleil Ignacio dedicates her design to independent women. “Basically, my artwork takes inspiration from all the independent, classy, and fun ladies out there who make time to celebrate Christmas with friends and family despite their crazy, busy schedules. She’s the kind of woman to give out beautiful, thoughtful gifts; designs her flat with minimalist, but fancy Christmas decors, and invites her closest friends for some bubblies and a good time,” Ignacio stated.

Graphic designer June Digan was influenced by Roald Dalh’s Mr. Fantastic Fox and Toblerone’s rich Swiss Heritage. “I wanted to interpret their story through illustration. I incorporated the bear from the Swiss City of Bern. Also, I added nature to represent the place where the brand came from. It’s basically a visit to the past. Just like Christmas, it is that one occasion where family members travel to be with their loved ones. We go back to our roots and we enjoy some well-earned time off work and spread festive cheer,” Digan described her Christmas Inspiration.

Aside from the Juan, Soleil, and June, we also have the whimsical letterings of Alexis Ventura and contemporary feminine yet festive design of Anina Rubio.
