Tam-awan Village’s 20th Anniversary Art Exhibit Roadshow Finale To Be Held at The Bellevue Manila
This year marks the Tam-awan Village’s 20th year of existence since it was founded by Chanum Foundation, Inc. in 1998. The Tam-awan Village resembling a traditional Cordillera Village, was built to preserve the Ifugao houses from Banga-an, Ifugao. It is what it is today—a well-known tourist spot, a live showcase of indigenous customs, and a nest for local craftsmen—because of Chanum Foundation, Inc.’s initiative and vision.
Through the years, Chanum Foundation, Inc. and Tam-awan Village have stayed true to their commitment in paying homage to Philippine culture and heritage through the arts. That is why it is only fitting that in celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Tam-awan Village launched an art exhibit roadshow entitled Tam-awan @ 20: Celebrating Two Decades of Unwavering Passion for Culture and the Arts. Over a hundred participating local artists share a precious part of their lives through a showcase of their skillful masterpieces in this grand art gala.
The Tam-awan @ 20 art exhibition aspires not only to pay tribute to our local talents, but also to give the audience and art enthusiasts alike, an exceptional viewing pleasure and a holistic immersion in the Philippine culture.
The travelling art exhibit was kicked off with a showcase of the first batch of artworks at the Ayala Museum ArtistSpace. The second set was brought to SM City Baguio, and the third to their home base, Tam-awan Village in Pinsao Proper, Baguio City. The exhibit will be opened to the public for the fourth and last time as it reaches its final leg of the tour on July 6, 2018, 6:00pm, at the Main Wing Lobby of The Bellevue Manila. The Tam-awan @ 20 art exhibit finale will feature the top 55 works hand-picked from the first three phases of the art exhibit roadshow.
