The Peak Offers a New Experience In Dining And Entertainment

Grand Hyatt Manila opens its doors to the media for a first look at another concept true to #LivingGrand. Introducing The Peak, a collision of a bar, grill and restaurant sitting atop the highest structure in the city. Occupying the 60^th to the 62^nd floor, The Peak is inspired by penthouse living; where one room flows to another, with the cozy ambiance of home and the sweeping views of the Manila skyline.

From fine wines, to rare whiskeys, live entertainment and expertly prepared cuisine — The Peak is always a different journey for each guest. “We are excited to welcome guests and to show them what we have created for them; because we believe that The Peak is best explained through experience. A journey of the palate 

The Peak is composed of a grill restaurant, music lounge, whisky bar and The Peak bar. Each a destination on its own. The centerpiece of the grill is its open kitchen, where guests can view their food being carefully prepared by Chef De Cuisine Manuel Baenziger.

Start with a serving of Maryland Crab Cake, then order a serving of Australian Wagyu Rib Eye cooked just the way you want it. Round off this delicious meal with a pick from an extensive selection of new and old world wines. A table in the open air terrace with its stunning views makes it an even more memorable dining experience.

For an evening of socializing and entertainment, make your way to the music lounge headlined by international band, Legacy. Sing to your favorite songs with Lucile Bannholtzer and Michele Iurili, Clifford Myers, Thomas Gilbert, and Rustein Merriweather. Live DJs will also be present to make sure that the party goes on while you enjoy your favorite drink.

Tradition and innovation embodies the whisky bar where guests can unwind and enjoy the city lights while lounging in its leather chairs. Perfect for private parties, the whisky bar provides different options to celebrate where private rooms are available for more intimate celebrations.

Meanwhile, The Peak bar offers a different experience. Ask for a glass of champagne and order a plate of fresh oysters, the bar has the picture perfect view of the sunset whether you choose to lounge in its open deck or in the comforts of its long table.

A discovery of design

The compelling interior design of The Peak was conceptualized by Tokyo-based international design firm, Nao Taniyama & Associates. Touches of the local culture is reflected in every room the moment you step into The Peak. The main receiving area is an example, with its bold statement walls reflective of the traditional Filipino tattoo patterns.

When asked what vision he had for The Peak, Nao Taniyama shared, “A place that can become a role to connect the past, current and future of the Philippines. Not only the Philippines, but Asia today is growing in a speed which cannot be compared with any periods in the past. However, because of times like this, we need to further look ahead in the future as well as to remind us of things we must not forget.”
