Sheraton Manila Bay Gathers the World at their First Christmas Tree Lighting

The newly launched Sheraton Manila Bay marked the start of the yuletide season with its first Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony last November 19, 2019 held at the Sheraton Manila Bay Lobby.

The programme kicked off with the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree led by Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso, Manila City Vice Mayor Dr. Honey Lacuna-Pangan, together with Sheraton Manila Bay General Manager, Richard Masselin joined by the hotel owner and Vice President of Adriatico Consortium Inc., Jerome Sy. The Community Choir, the hotel’s singing ambassadors, serenaded the guests with classic Christmas Carols while the hotel’s culinary team prepared a festive buffet feast complete from ham carving station to holiday-inspired desserts.

In keeping with the spirit of giving back to the Community, Sheraton Manila Bay has officially announce Bahay Tuluyan as the hotel’s chosen partner beneficiary for all upcoming CSR activities including a cross–exposure program for underprivileged youth. Bahay Tuluyan, a non-government organization that provides a variety of programs and services aimed at preventing and responding to abuse and exploitation of children in the Philippines.

Celebrating the magic of Christmas around the world, the festive decorations reflects this year’s theme “Sheraton Manila Bay: Where the World Gathers” taking inspiration from the Sheraton Brand positioning as the World’s Gathering Place deeply rooted in over 400 communities in over 70 countries across the globe. The main attraction at the lobby is the 12-feet Community Tree that showcase miniature Christmas villages with iconic landmarks representing various regions where the Sheraton Hotels a present including Asia, Africa, Australia and the Pacific, Middle East, Central America and The Caribbean, Europe, North and South America. Featured prominently at the base of the tree is our very own Philippines donned with traditional Bahay Kubo, Kalesa, and Parol. Other holiday embellishments are in tungsten and copper hues accented with champagne and oyster colors.

Share-a-ton of Sweetness and bring home sweet confectionaries and elegantly stylish hamper from our gingerbread house open daily starting November 19 to December 31, 2019. Be serenaded with classic Christmas carols from the hotel’s very own Community Choir from December 16 to 24, 2019. On December 24, gather your favorite people together and celebrate the Christmas Eve with a bountiful Noche Buena feast preluded by Christmas Eve Mass.
