Manila Marriott Officially Welcomes the Festive Season with Tree Lighting
From the life-size gingerbread train carrying festive goodies and hampers, a captivating ballet performance to the 20 ft-high stunning Christmas tree—Marriott Manila kicks off the festive season in a spectacle!
Last November 7, KC Montero opened the night with his witty antics, followed by Ballet Philippines’ performance of the Nutcracker. As the countdown begins, the kids from Save the Children along with their Ambassador Katarina Rodriguez, and Cluster General Manager for Marriott Manila, Sheraton Hotel Manila, and Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo, Bruce Winton, led the tree lighting ceremony and lit up the decorations. Christmas carols echoed through the halls and there came Santa, walking down the staircase, greeting the children and all the guests a Merry Christmas. But the festivities did not end there! Santa invited the guests to the Manila Ballroom which was transformed into a Pinoy Carnival complete with gaming booths from the popular Coin Toss, Pop the Balloon, Color Game, Ring Toss, and Shoot the Can.
Apart from the tree lighting, Manila Marriott celebrated their Global Customer Appreciation Week along with valued partners, media, and clients. Cluster General Manager Bruce Winton proudly shared the charitable efforts of Marriott Worldwide Business Councils – Philippines along with their partnership with Save the Children Philippines, from Run to Give and the 1st Annual Golf Tournament.
Guests were entertained by Limerence Duo’s acrobatic performance and Acro Salsa’s heart-stopping stunts. These dancers from Belarus performs weekly at the Grand Bar of Resorts World Manila.
Marriott’s culinary team also showcased their colorful Christmas-themed desserts such as delectable Christmas log cakes, chocolate pralines, gingerbreads, stollen bread, holiday nougat bites, and a lot of chocolate goodies. Guests enjoyed the chicken sisig, roasted maple glazed bone in leg of pork served with potato wedges, and other side dishes.
