Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria celebrated its first-ever Christmas Launch

Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria hosted its very first Christmas Launch last November 23, 2017 to usher in the magic of the holidays. More than 150 distinguished guests from top-management staff of leading corporations, key media personnel, in-house guests, and close friends were in attendance to gather and witness this unprecedented occasion for the spirit of Christmas in the city.

With the theme, “Holiday Glitz and Glam”, the launch began at the Crowne Plaza Lobby which was decorated with gold and ivory colours, swathed with shimmering drapes, shining trinkets, and stunning décor. A 20-foot high Christmas tree stands towering extravagantly with all its golden grandeur with everyone’s festive auras filling the air. Guests enjoyed delectable Christmas hors d’oeuvres with wine and Crowne Plaza’s very own Christmas Fizz as refreshments.

The ceremony commenced with welcome remarks from the General Manager, Mr. Gaurav Rai, warmly welcoming the guests and sharing the festive spirit. Following this, the Children’s Joy Foundation serenaded everyone with Christmas carols as they received Christmas presents from Santa Claus and the entire hotel, represented by the Executive Committee. Furthermore, Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria awarded the foundation with cash donation and officially announced that the Children’s Joy Foundation will be the chosen beneficiary for 2018.

The main highlight of the evening commenced with the lighting of the Christmas tree. The Executive Committee pulled the Candy Cane switch with excitement and much to the surprise of all the guests, the light cascaded all the way up with gold and silver bulbs radiating brightly. A short energetic performance by The Crew followed the lighting ceremony which further hyped up the crowd. Countless surprises were in store as the evening went on, including the numerous raffle prizes that were given away for excited guests.

After the Christmas tree lighting, guests were escorted to Seven Corners Restaurant, where the “Holiday Glam Collection” by Mr. Nardie Presa was featured through a contemporary fashion show. 30 pieces of his avant-garde masterpiece collection were presented by stunning models in the modern runway. When the fashion show ended, the guests journeyed through Seven Corners Restaurant for dinner, which showcased the very best of its international stations ranging from an array of fresh greens, deliciously prepared Italian pizza and pasta, authentic Indian Tandoori Chicken and Naan Bread, the famed US Rib Eye steak, to Japanese Sushi and Sashimi, noodles with hot broth and toppings, and the all-time favourite Seven Corners Homemade Gelato.

Guests had a wonderful time sampling the wide variety of dishes while listening to the ballads of Ms. Anne Jasper Raz. To conclude the program, the hosts picked the lucky winner for the grand prize—a trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for two, complete with roundtrip tickets by Cebu Pacific and accommodation by Intercontinental Hotel.
