Exciting ‘out-of-the-box’ foodie discoveries await you at the new PBCo restaurant-café
Looking for a new and different foodie obsession? Head over to PBCo at Estancia Mall, and you’ll find out something you should have known all along: “Everything is better with peanut butter.”
From toasts to spaghetti to fried chicken to a Pulled Pork Burger, from a late lunch to a lazy Sunday afternoon… life is more fun with a dollop of the stuff that sticks to the roof of your mouth. That’s what the nutty-in-a-good-way folks at PBCo — Everyday Happy Food — promise us, and the menu delivers.
The first and only of its kind in the Philippines, PBCo is a specialty concept restaurant that holds up to a simple premise: Elevating the peanut butter from being a staple sandwich spread into “happy” comfort food.
While putting a unique spin on classic childhood favorites is what PBCo does best, what’s more wonderful to note about this new nook is that it has everything that excites — a creative menu, an upscale location, and a fun dining ambiance that are sure to bring unforgettable eating pleasures.
Inside, PBCo is your type of lively “neighborhood” café where you feel right at home. Beaming with fun elements, the setting is modern upscale and comfortable, and the staff is eager to please.
Noteworthy as well is the café’s cool visual aesthetics — from the industrial-inspired interiors, you’ll be greeted by vibrant splashes of colors, artsy wall decors, and bright lighting. This youthful, welcoming ambiance makes PBCo a cozy spot for afternoon hangouts with friends, just as it is perfect for after-work unwinding or a wholesome weekend date with the family.
“It’s important to us to make sure that guests feel good when they are here. From the moment they walk in, they will immediately feel a sense of home at PBCo. Every aspect is considered to provide guests an experience where they can sit down comfortably and just enjoy,” says Richard Chua, PBCo’s owner.
How’s this for a night-out dinner: Cream Cheese Soup and Country Chicken Steak with a 3-cheese Mac on the side and a Stuffed Monkey French Toast for dessert? It’s piping hot, proof the PB goes well with savory or sweet, sour or spicy — if you know where and how to blend it in, like PBCo does. It’s comfort food with the twist you always wanted, but never knew. And all the portions are for sharing, so that you may spread the joy of peanut butter.
The PBCo doesn’t stop there. They’ve got milkshakes and cakes, the Sloppy Burger, a banana-and-bacon sandwich called Elvis, the S’mores Pie and the addictive Crack Pie. Plus unlimited coffee, and doors that stay open from brunch to that after-dinner Ice Cream Toast (ice cream made from toast bread).
On your way out, you can bring home the fun by snagging a jar or two of PBCo’s own peanut butter blends: Chunky & Crunchy, Dark Chocolate, Very Creamy, and White Chocolate. One thing is sure: There’s isn’t one item on PBCo’s menu you won’t savor and remember.
For those who haven’t eaten here before, PBCo assures you of enjoying no less than great-tasting quality food.
“Of course, they have to come in here first and be the ones to personally taste and experience the difference. You don’t have to be a peanut butter lover to really appreciate our food,” says Richard.
PBCo, inspired by the American café, is a perfect hangout for everyone young and young at heart. You can bring your friends, your family, or you can chill by yourself. Drop by at U-B1, Estancia Mall, Capitol Commons, Brgy. Oranbo, Pasig City.
